R. M. de Souza Memorial Chapel Limited officially opened on the 1st March 2012. As a family owned and operated Funeral Home, we take special pride in meeting each and every need families may face during this most difficult time.
The concept of, our family serving your family in your time of need can be reflected in the services we offer, our comfortable surroundings and in our professional staff.
We treat families, as we would want to be treated. In a time of need, religious, cultural, ethnic, family traditions and considerations are recognized and respected. In true Trinbagonian fashion, our family at R.M. de Souza Memorial Chapel will go above and beyond to embrace the wonderful diversity of cultures, beliefs and traditions of our local community. We believe every family should be treated with respect and dignity, in order to provide a warm and caring environment worthy of a life to be remembered.
We are dedicated to going above and beyond, working to deliver a service that would become a meaningful and memorable tribute to the deceased loved one. Our doors are always open and we encourage our clients to visit our facility, where our staff will be very helpful and willing to show them what we have created here, and to personally answer any questions or concerns they may have.

The Funeral Home was under the direction of Richard Bevan N. de Souza, a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer. He is a graduate of Humber College, Faculty of Health Sciences and licensed through the Ontario Board of Funeral Services. Bevan has gained professional experience both in Canada and Trinidad, as he has been part of this industry for over 21 years. Working closely alongside him is his mother Sharon, who was employed with a major computer manufacturer for 43 years. The de Souza family prides itself in their advances in offering families services to expand the funeral home beyond their walls. They have made it as easy as possible to understand the funeral process and provide families with grief counseling, pre-planning and the latest trends in funeral services.
